International, Inc. ("Ramada") (sometimes hereinafter, the
"Franchisor", "We", or "Us"), a wholly
owned subsidiary of Ramada Worldwide Inc., and part of the Cendant
Hotel Group, Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Cendant
Corporation ("Cendant"), which franchises hotels operating
under the Ramada® brand (the "Brand") worldwide (excluding
the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean), operate , recognize
the importance of protecting the privacy of Personal Data collected
online and offline by us about the guests, visitors and prospective
guests ("Customers" or "you") of the Brand.
We do not own or operate any individual hotels operating
under the Brand. Independent businesses operate all of the individual
hotels that operate under our Brand under franchise agreements.
This policy also explains when and how we treat Personal Data provided
to us by individual hotels and franchisees.
We have adopted this Customer Privacy Policy to
guide how we utilize Personal Data about Customers, and how we maintain
compliance with global privacy laws applicable to Personal Data
that we collect from our franchisees and/or directly from our Customers,
including laws passed pursuant to the EU Data Protection Directive
(95/46/EC), the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia) and national privacy
principles and similar laws within the Asia-Pacific and the Middle
East regions with which we are bound to comply. "Personal Data"
is any non-publicly available information or data about you that
in itself, or as part of a unique combination of information, specifically
recognizes or authenticates you by unique identifiers, descriptors
or attributes. Examples of individual specific (or Personally Identifiable)
Data include, but are not limited to, names, telephone numbers,
addresses, e-mail address, driver's license number, credit card
type and number, bank account number, and/or other financial information.
Customers may provide to us by any means, including through our
websites, by e-mail, telephone, fax or mail. This Policy will evolve
and change as we continue to study privacy issues.
